Moving home
If your home is no longer suitable for you we will try to move you to another home. However we are a small association and we do not have many homes available for letting each year. We will therefore encourage you to register with Bromley Homeseekers so that you can bid for homes owned by other housing associations. We will also encourage you to look for a mutual exchange-where you swap homes with another tenant after getting our permission.
Common reasons for wanting to move are:
- Overcrowding - if you need more bedrooms because your family has grown
- Under occupation - if you have more bedrooms than you need. If you have 3 or more bedrooms, you may qualify for a payment if you agree to move to a smaller home.
- Medical reasons - if you or somebody in your household can no longer manage in your home we may be able to move you to a more suitable home
- Harassment - if you are experiencing domestic violence, racial or other harassment that cannot be resolved without moving you
